Seventeen-year-old Yoshita Ray has stopped believing in happily ever after and fairy tales ever since her mother abandoned her. But now that her father’s married again, Yoshita’s world is turned upside down by her new stepbrother, the ten-year-old true believer, Tanay Mukherjee.
On his tenth birthday, Tanay makes a wish which whisks them away to a magical land where all the fairy tale characters are real! While Yoshita wants to do nothing but leave this place behind, her stepbrother wants to stay.
Will the rather unfortunately timed adventure tear the step-siblings apart or will it play a hand in bringing them closer together?

The story revolves around the protagonist Yoshita; a seventeen-year-old girl who was abandoned by his mother at the age of nine and her brother Tanay whom she met after her mother abandoned her and her father remarried. The book takes the reader on a journey to another magical world. The protagonist, however, does not believe in fairy tales and magic after her mother abandoned her and her parents went through a divorce. However, his newfound brother Tanay is fond of fairy tales and believes in magic. On his birthday, he makes a wish and lands up into the magical city. What unfolds afterward is worth reading. The theme is realistic with well-developed ideas and extremely simple yet lively writing style along with good use of vocabulary makes the reader engrossed till the end. However, in the starting, it seems as if the book is meant for kids but as the story progresses, it becomes so interesting that adults can be easily lost into it.
Negatives- I didn’t find any. However, I would love to know what more happened in the magical land. The end gives us a hint that this is not the end and author will be coming up with some more of magic.
